A conference titled “Sustainability Training in Universities” was held on April 15, 2025, at Kastamonu University to raise awareness on sustainability and promote environmentally friendly practices.
Büşra Yoldaş, the founder of Eterna, who is known for her work in the field of sustainable living, participated as a speaker at the event held in the Central Library Cemil Meriç Hall in cooperation with the Sustainability Coordinatorship of our University and the Sustainability Community.
Aiming to provide a roadmap for academics, administrative staff, students, and non-governmental organizations, the training covered topics such as the development of sustainability policies at universities, individual and institutional responsibilities, and the role of higher education institutions in raising environmental awareness.
The event's closing speech was delivered by Kastamonu University Sustainability Coordinator, member of the Faculty of Engineering and Architecture, Assoc. Prof. Dr. Gökçe Didar Değermenci. In her speech, she emphasized the importance of institutionalizing sustainability culture in universities and the active participation of students in this process.
At the end of the program, a certificate of appreciation was presented to the speaker, Büşra Yoldaş, for her contributions.
