Kastamonu University took part in the “Strategic Excellence in Higher Education” workshop hosted by Hitit University within the scope of the European Union-supported IMAP4U Erasmus+ Project.
Our Rector Prof. Dr. Ahmet Hamdi Topal, Vice Rector Prof. Dr. Ömer Küçük, representatives of the Quality Coordinatorship and Data Analysis, Monitoring and Evaluation Coordinatorship attended the Strategic Excellence in Higher Education workshop organized within the framework of the IMAP4U (Integrated Model of Action and Performance for Universities) project, which is coordinated by Hitit University and carried out with an international cooperation network in which our University also participates.
Held on April 7, the workshop discussed essential components of higher education management, such as strategic planning, quality assurance, performance-based budgeting, and digital integration. Representatives of quality and data management units of different universities and public institutions also participated in the event.
In the program hosted by Hitit University Rector Prof. Dr. Ali Osman Öztürk, the relationship between strategic plan structures and performance-oriented budget management was evaluated; current practices were reviewed, and ideas were exchanged on new model proposals.
The workshop was completed with the presentation of solution proposals to make the management processes of universities more effective, sustainable, and data-based.
