Kastamonu University continues to strengthen its technology-oriented education approach with new programs. Four new programs were opened within our University to meet the need for trained human resources in rapidly developing fields such as artificial intelligence, robotic systems, and unmanned vehicle technologies. These programs, approved by the Council of Higher Education, will accept their first students in the 2025-2026 academic year.
The Robotics and Artificial Intelligence Program opened under the Department of Electronics and Automation at Tosya Vocational School, and the Artificial Intelligence Operator Program within the Department of Computer Technologies aims to train individuals with the technical equipment required by the digital age. The Computer Programming Program at Çatalzeytin Vocational School and the Unmanned Vehicle Technician Program at Taşköprü Vocational School stand out with their applied education-based structures.
With these programs, our University aims not only to adapt to current technological developments but also to train qualified graduates who can dominate these fields. In addition to the theoretical infrastructure, students will study in an educational environment supported by laboratories, application areas, and sectoral collaborations.
Our Rector, Prof. Dr. Ahmet Hamdi Topal, stated that they have shaped the educational vision of our University according to the professions of the future and said, "These programs, which we have opened in technology and digitalization-based fields, reflect the dynamism and future-oriented strategic approach of our University. The competence of our students in these fields will contribute to both their individual development and the development goals of our country. I wish the new programs would benefit our University and districts."
