Throughout 2024, Kastamonu University carried out a variety of initiatives under the scope of Public-University-Industry Collaboration (KÜSİ) to support regional development and transfer academic expertise to the industrial sector. These efforts, led by the Technology Transfer Office (TTO) operating within the University, strengthened cooperation with industry representatives and facilitated the transfer of scientific and technical knowledge to the field.

Bridging Academic Knowledge with Industry

To enhance engagement between the University, public institutions, and the private sector, 25 academic staff members were assigned to implement 4 R&D projects and provide 33 consultancy services. These projects and consultancy activities aimed to develop educational solutions for current industrial needs.

Public-University-Industry Collaboration Platform members conducted eight field visits, allowing for direct engagement with industry representatives. During these visits, the real-world applications of ongoing projects were examined, and discussions were held to enhance the effectiveness of collaborations.

Contributing to Regional Development

The main goal of the initiatives led by Kastamonu University’s Technology Transfer Office was to increase academic support for industrial needs and to transform the University’s knowledge production into economic value. Accordingly, the University plans to diversify its projects with industrial partners and contribute more to regional development.
