With the contributions of the Kastamonu University Faculty of Theology, the Faculty of Communication, and the Press and Public Relations Office, the "Ramadan on Campus" program will be broadcast throughout the holy month of Ramadan, covering various religious topics.
The first episode of the "Ramadan on Campus" program will air on March 1, 2025, at 5:00 PM on the official YouTube channel of Kastamonu Campus TV, established within the Faculty of Communication at Kastamonu University.
The program will feature faculty members from the Faculty of Theology as guests. At the same time, students from the Faculty of Communication, Kadir Özel, Buse Alkan, Deniz Çalık, and Mertcan Başcan, will serve as hosts. In addition, students and faculty members will collaborate in the editing and filming process. The production team includes Research Assistants A. Güray Başakcıoğlu, Mehmet Erol, Mehmet Oğuz Yıldırım, Güzide Kayıtmazbatır, and Salih Ertosun from the Department of Radio, Television, and Cinema. The program is organized under the coordination of Assoc. Prof. Dr. Selver Mertoğlu and Asst. Prof. Dr. Zuhal Ergun.
Academics from Kastamonu University Faculty of Theology will provide insights and discussions on various religious topics in the "Ramadan on Campus" program. Guest speakers include Prof. Dr. Burhan Baltacı, Dr. Ahmet Özdemir, and Dr. Metin Yurdagür, Assoc. Prof. Dr. Recep Özdirek, Assoc. Prof. Dr. Eyüp Akdağ, Asst. Prof. Dr. Erhan Salih Fidan, Asst. Prof. Dr. Selman Keleş, Asst. Prof. Dr. Mustafa Çavuşoğlu, Asst. Prof. Dr. Çiğdem Gülmez, Asst. Prof. Dr. Hakan Coşar, Asst. Prof. Dr. Muhammed Hayri Şahin, and Asst. Prof. Dr. Cabir Osmanlı. The program aims to offer viewers valuable insights into Ramadan and religious practices.
Throughout the program, faculty members will discuss significant spiritual themes, such as the act of giving zakat, servitude in the Quran, the virtues of reading the Quran, the importance of Ramadan, and how to make the most of this sacred month. Additionally, topics like the leadership approach of Prophet Muhammad, the virtues of Ramadan, its impact on social life, and the relationship between Islam, science, and philosophy will be explored. A special episode dedicated to Laylat al-Qadr (the Night of Power) will offer a deeper perspective on the spiritual significance of Ramadan.
