The Campus Radio team of Kastamonu University Faculty of Communication was awarded the first prize at the 34th Association of Journalists of Turkey Aydın Doğan Young Communicators Competition organized by the Association of Journalists of Turkey and Aydın Doğan Foundation.
The program “Digital Atlas,” prepared by students İlayda Güdek, Kerem İnceler, and Seymen Doğan under the supervision of the research assistants of the Department of Radio, Television, and Cinema, was selected as the best radio program by the jury. The program, broadcasted on digital platforms in three episodes, was highly appreciated for its original content and impressive narrative.
The finalist team proudly represented our University by receiving their awards at the February 20, 2025, Hilton Istanbul Bosphorus Hotel ceremony. The ceremony was attended by Prof. Dr. Muharrem Çetin, Dean of the Faculty of Communication, and Assist. Assist. Abdullah Güray Başakcıoğlu and award-winning students participated in the ceremony.
Kastamonu University Rector Prof. Dr. Ahmet Hamdi Topal emphasized that the University has achieved significant national and international success with the devoted work of students and academicians. Stating that this award won by the Faculty of Communication reveals the quality of education and student potential of the University, our Rector congratulated the young communicators and wished them continued success.
The students expressed their pride in the award and stated they will continue representing Kastamonu University in the best way possible.
