Kastamonu University has completed the renewal process for the ESC-50 Quality Label under the European Solidarity Corps (ESC) program.
As a result of the 2024 call, the university has been awarded this certification, allowing it to participate more effectively in international education and volunteering projects that promote social responsibility among young people.
Supported by the European Commission, the ESC program is a significant initiative to enable young people to interact with different cultures while enhancing their personal and professional skills. Within this scope, the quality certification applications submitted in 2023 and 2024 were meticulously evaluated by external assessors. Following the assessment process, out of 121 applications, 15 institutions were granted the ‘Leading’ role, while 13 institutions received certification for the ‘Supporting’ and/or ‘Host’ roles.
Kastamonu University achieved remarkable success by obtaining the ‘Leading’ and ‘Supporting’ roles. With this achievement, the university aims to strengthen its capacity to actively participate in international projects while offering students more significant opportunities to volunteer abroad and foster cross-cultural interactions.
