The Scientific Project Preparation Training organized on February 8-9, 2025, in cooperation with Kastamonu University Technology Transfer Office, Forestry and Nature Tourism Specialization Coordinators, Kastamonu Technopolis, and Scientific Research Projects Unit was completed.
The training was given by Yozgat Bozok University faculty members Prof. Dr. Mustafa Böyükata and Prof. Dr. Hamdi Temel, Gazi University faculty member Prof. Dr. Rahmi Ünal and Kastamonu University faculty members Prof. Dr. Mehmet Cengiz Baloğlu and Prof. Dr. Talip Çeter. Delivering the opening speech of the program, Vice Rector Prof. Dr. Ömer Küçük emphasized the importance of project-based studies and stated that this training was planned to benefit from the experience of Prof. Dr. Mustafa Böyükata and his team, who carried out similar training at different universities.
After the opening speech, the training started with Prof. Dr. Mustafa Böyükata's lecture, and the basic concepts of the project preparation process were discussed. Participants learned in detail about the components of projects, such as original value, methodology, management, and widespread impact, while Prof. Dr. Mehmet Cengiz Baloğlu examined examples on application forms. In the afternoon workshop, the participants were divided into groups and started to prepare application forms in line with the project components.
On the second training day, Prof. Dr. Talip Çeter shared the importance of literature, COST projects, and EU project experiences. Prof. Dr. Rahmi Ünal from Gazi University talked about project research planning and time management. Afterward, Prof. Dr. Hamdi Temel gave information on the analysis of project findings, dissemination process, and publication ethics. In the last training session, the participants presented and evaluated their projects, and the panel reports were analyzed based on previously applied projects.
During the two-day training, essential topics for the participants to prepare for qualified and comprehensive projects were discussed, and practical work was carried out.
