Within the bilateral cooperation protocol signed between Kastamonu University and Kasdi Merbah University of Ouargla (KMU) in Algeria, an in-service training program was held for KMU administrative staff between 21-24 January 2025.
The training discussed topics such as the digitalization of education systems in higher education, laboratory management, quality assurance systems, accreditation of management systems, and goal-based management.
On the first day of the training program, Assoc. Prof. Dr. Funda Terzi from Kastamonu University Central Research Laboratory and Prof. Dr. Ihab Said İbrahim İbrahim from the Faculty of Theology delivered a lecture. Prof. Dr. Ihab Said Ibrahim from the Faculty of Theology started with the 'Laboratory Management, Maintenance and Scientific Activities' presentation. The presentation discussed topics such as the use of laboratory equipment, maintenance, and analysis processes.
On 22 January, Dr. Lecturer Mustafa Yücel from the Faculty of Economics and Administrative Sciences, Dr. Prof. Dr Mustafa Yücel from the Faculty of Economics and Administrative Sciences, and Dr Ihab Said Ibrahim from the Faculty of Theology. Prof. Dr. Ihab Said Ibrahim from the Faculty of Theology gave a presentation titled 'Goal-Based Management.' Participants were able to learn the essential components of goal-oriented management systems and the relationship between activities and goals in detail.
On 23 January, Murat Yayla from the Department of Information Technologies and Dr. Assoc. Prof. Dr. Ahmed Nureddin Kattan from the Faculty of Theology presented on 'Digitalisation of Education Systems.' The presentation discussed the history of digitalization, the systems used at Kastamonu University, and the effects of digitalization on education were discussed.
On the last training day, the Lecturer from the Quality Coordination Office. Assist. Ayça Nur Aydoğan and Dr. Lecturer. Prof. Dr. Ahmed Nureddin Kattan's presentation titled 'Quality Processes at our University.' The presentation conveyed information about the implementation and follow-up of quality processes. The participants stated that they were impressed by Kastamonu University's quality processes and expressed their desire to cooperate in this field.
On the last day of the program, certificates were presented to the participants: Kastamonu University Vice Rector Prof. Dr. Mehmet Atalan, General Coordinator of External Relations Assoc. Prof. Dr. Mustafa Öztürk Akcaoğlu and academic and administrative staff attended the ceremony. The participants expressed satisfaction with this rich training program and wished to continue the cooperation.
