Kastamonu University is implementing an important project to support Turkey's National Technology Move and contribute to national technological development. The project titled 'Kastamonu University National Technology Workshop,'’ prepared within the scope of TÜBİTAK 4003-T National Technology Workshops Call was approved to be realized with a support of 30 million TL.

Designed with modern infrastructure and rich equipment facilities, the workshop will provide a platform for students to develop technology, engineering, and science projects. This center, which will be open to students of our University and young people in the region, will enable the implementation of innovative ideas and the development of technological skills.

The National Technology Workshops, which bring together all the equipment and materials needed by the teams participating in science and technology competitions, are designed so students can collaborate to develop innovative projects. These areas, planned to be implemented in universities and TÜBİTAK-supported science centers, aim to improve young people's entrepreneurship and innovation skills and contribute to regional development.

Our Rector, Prof. Dr. Ahmet Hamdi Topal, who made statements about the project, drew attention to the University's pioneering scientific and technological development mission. He stated that the National Technology Workshop would significantly contribute to Turkey's technology-oriented development goals by allowing young people to realize their dreams.

Our Rector stated that the workshop would be open to our students and young people in the region and emphasized that this center will develop the culture of technology and innovation in Kastamonu and its surroundings. He also stated that the workshop will strengthen the scientific thinking skills of young people, encourage teamwork, and enable the emergence of innovative ideas.

In his speech, our Rector thanked TÜBİTAK President Prof. Dr. Orhan Aydın and Minister of Industry and Technology Mehmet Fatih Kacır for their support of the project. While the workshop is planned to open in the coming months, details about the training programs and activities will be shared with the public soon.
