Kastamonu University Faculty of Tourism and Forestry and Nature Tourism Specialisation Coordinatorship in cooperation with Kastamonu University Faculty of Tourism on 26 December 2024, ‘A Step for Nature: Return to Village and Sustainable Life,’ was organized.
The moderator of the panel held in Sezai Karakoç Hall of the Central Library of our university was the Lecturer. Lecturer. Hikmet Haberal, social media content producers Fulden Darama and Aykan Hurma, known for their sustainable life and back-to-nature-themed content on social media platforms, participated as speakers.
Their speeches discussed the environmental and social benefits of returning to village life, sustainable living practices, and raising individual awareness.
Fulden Darama shared suggestions on how nature-friendly practices such as organic farming and recycling can be applied daily. Aykan Hurma, on the other hand, emphasized that village life leaves a smaller carbon footprint than city life and the benefits of a lifestyle in harmony with nature on human health. Both speakers noted that individuals can create significant changes even with small steps and the importance of social awareness.
The panel emphasized the effects of nature-friendly approaches on individuals and society and provided participants with practical suggestions for a life in harmony with nature.
In addition to Kastamonu Provincial Culture and Tourism Director M. Kerem Seven, our students, academicians, and nature-friendly individuals showed great interest in the event.
