The Unilig Volleyball Regional League, organized by the Turkish University Sports Federation, was hosted by Kastamonu University between 9-13 December 2024. Men and women volleyball teams from Sakarya University of Applied Sciences, Bolu Abant İzzet Baysal University, Karabük University, and Zonguldak Bülent Ecevit University competed in the organization.
The event, attended by ten teams in total, witnessed competitive matches. The trophy and medal ceremony of the tournament was held on 13 December 2024 at Ay Yıldız Sports and Life Centre.
Kastamonu University Acting Secretary General İbrahim Demirbaş, Dean of the Faculty of Sports Sciences Prof. Dr. Bilgehan Baydil, academicians, athletes, and spectators attended the ceremony. Making the opening speech at the ceremony, the Dean of the Faculty of Sports Sciences, Prof. Dr. Bilgehan Baydil, drew attention to the importance of such organizations that bring together the spirit of cooperation and competition in sports.
Baydil expressed his pleasure in hosting Kastamonu University and thanked the participants. After the opening speeches, medals and cups were presented to the ranking teams. In the women's category, Sakarya University of Applied Sciences ranked first, Kastamonu University ranked second, and Karabük University ranked third. In the men's category, Sakarya University of Applied Sciences came first, Kastamonu University came second, and Karabük University came third.
Federation Provincial Representative Assoc presented the awards of the ranked teams. Prof. Dr. A. Feray Özbal, Secretary General V. İbrahim Demirbaş and Dean of the Faculty of Sports Sciences Prof. Dr. Bilgehan Baydil. The ceremony ended with a group photo taken in memory of the day.
