Kastamonu University hosted the Kastamonu Great Olympiad Event (KHALID), organized by the International Student Community in cooperation with the Indonesian Student Community on 7-8 December 2024. The event, held for the third time this year, brought together Indonesian students studying in Bartın, Çorum, Karabük, and Kastamonu provinces. A total of 200 Indonesian students participated in the organization.

Speaking at the event's opening, KHALID Vice President Imelda Saputri expressed her satisfaction with the organization's contribution to students and strengthening cultural ties. She said, 'We are happy to organize the third KHALID 2024. Our greatest wish is that our event will continue successfully,' he said.

Depri Ardi Saputra, President of Kastamonu University Indonesian Student Community, said, 'Such organizations reinforce the friendship between Indonesian students in Turkey. The ties established here contribute to building a stronger community in the future.'
Adam Syaikhul, President of the Turkish Indonesian Student Community, stated that the event offered a home environment for students living abroad and said, 'Although we are far away from our country, we feel at home with our solidarity and creativity.'Shofiyyah Aini Jannah, President of the International Student Community, pointed out the importance of the event and said, 'This event is not just a sports competition; it offers a unique opportunity to increase solidarity, strengthen friendship ties, and reinforce the spirit of unity.'
Within the scope of the event, traditional dance performances of Indonesian culture were performed. The performances allowed the participants to get to know the rich cultural heritage of Indonesia and added color to the event.

In the sports competitions, tournaments organized in branches such as basketball (men and women), volleyball, mini football, and billiards witnessed exciting moments. The participants once again demonstrated the unifying power of sports by competing in competition and friendship.

The two-day KHALID event ended with the participants' satisfaction after the sports competitions and cultural activities. The organization was an important meeting point for Indonesian students to reinforce the sense of solidarity and unity in Turkey.
