Kastamonu University Career Development Application and Research Centre, Social Sciences Student Community, and Faculty of Education collaborated to organize an event titled ‘Free and Fast Publication in SSCI and SCI Journals: Principles and Tips’ for academics and researchers.
The event was held on 26 November 2024 at Sezai Karakoç Hall of the Central Library of our University. Prof. Dr. Selçuk Beşir Demir, the 246th most influential scientist in the world, took part in the event as a speaker. Vice-Rector Prof. Dr. Ömer Küçük, Director of Career Development Application and Research Centre Prof. Dr. Şerif Demir, academic staff, and students attended the event.
Vice-Rector Prof. Dr. Ömer Küçük made the opening speech of the event. Prof. Dr. Küçük emphasized the importance of academic publishing and highlighted the efforts made to improve the research and publication culture of the university. Stating that publication processes are critical in being recognized in the scientific world and contributing effectively, Küçük wished the participants to make the most of the event.
Prof. Dr. Selçuk Beşir Demir, the developer of AYEUM, AKAGEV, and LibraryTürk e-book projects and the 246th most influential scientist in the world, gave information about academic publishing at the event.
In the event, Prof. Dr. Demir shared the basic principles for a successful academic publication process and strategies for selecting suitable journals. He also gave important tips to the participants about the challenges faced in the scholarly publication world and the roadmap to overcome them.
