Erasmus+ Information Meeting, organized in cooperation with Kastamonu University and the Turkish National Agency, was held on 21 November 2024 at Hoca Ahmet Yesevi Cultural Center.
Assoc attended the meeting. Prof. Dr. M. Öztürk Akcaoğlu, General Coordinator of External Relations of our University, Unal Görkem Akman and Damla Erdem, Deputy Experts of the Turkish National Agency, Dr. Handan Boyar, Expert of the Turkish National Agency, Dr. Süleyman Çite, Erasmus Institution Coordinator, academic staff and institution representatives.
He was delivering the opening speech of the meeting, Assoc. Prof. Dr. M. Öztürk Akcaoğlu gave information about the project-oriented studies of the university and the ongoing Erasmus+ mobility projects. He stated that our university aims to increase international cooperation with Erasmus+ projects and strengthen its global recognition. Akcaoğlu pointed out that project-oriented studies improve academic and cultural interaction.
Unal Görkem Akman, Deputy Expert of the Turkish National Agency, made a presentation on the general structure of the Erasmus+ program. Akman explained the main features of Erasmus+ and the European Solidarity Programme and discussed the opportunities offered by the program countries and projects.
Turkish National Agency Deputy Expert Damla Erdem made a presentation on Erasmus+ partnerships in higher education and vocational education. Erdem mentioned the opportunities in higher education, vocational education, and student and staff mobility projects. He also explained the institutional support items and KA1 and KA2 activity objectives in detail.
In the afternoon session of the meeting, Turkish National Agency Expert Dr. Handan Boyar made a presentation on the Jean Monnet Programme, Erasmus Mundus, and Capacity Building Projects for higher education within the scope of Erasmus+ Central Projects. Boyar shared comprehensive information about the effects of these projects on higher education and vocational education.
In the meeting, which attracted significant interest from the academic staff of our university, detailed information about the Erasmus+ program was shared, and information exchange was provided by answering the participants' questions.
