In cooperation with Kastamonu University and İhsan Ozanoğlu Special Education Vocational School, within the scope of TUBITAK - 4008 Inclusive Community Practices Support Program for Individuals with Special Needs, Dr. Lecturer from the Department of Special Education of the Faculty of Education of our University. The project ‘Providing Career-Based Supports in Transition from School to Working Life,’ prepared under Seniha Kurtoğlu, Faculty of Education, started with the opening meeting held on 20 November 2024 at the Central Sports Hall Conference Hall.
Faculty of Education Dean Prof. Dr. Ahmet Kaçar, Kastamonu Provincial Director of National Education Hasan Gümüş, Faculty of Education Vice Dean Assoc. Prof. Dr. Emine Karasu Avcı, project coordinator Dr. Assoc. Prof. Dr. Seniha Kurtoğlu, İhsan Ozanoğlu Special Education Vocational School Director Kadir Kesgin, NGO representatives, school administrators, experts, teachers, parents, and students.
İhsan Ozanoğlu Special Education Vocational School Director Kadir Kesgin made the opening speech of the program. Kesgin stated that the project aims to support individuals with special needs transitioning from education to business life. It will contribute to individuals participating more actively and independently in social life.
Project coordinator Dr. Lecturer. Member Seniha Kurtoğlu gave information about the scope and objectives of the project in the continuation of the meeting. Kurtoğlu stated that the project aims to improve the vocational skills of individuals with special needs.
