Faculty of Engineering and Architecture faculty member Assoc. Prof. Dr. Mehmet Gürdal's project titled 'Experimental Investigation of the Thermo-Hydraulic Performance of Al₂O₃/ H₂O Nanofluid Flow in a Honeycomb Shaped Channel with Hollow Fins' was entitled to be supported within the scope of TÜBİTAK 1002-A Rapid Support Programme.
The project, accepted in the Priority Development Areas-Energy category, aims to save energy by increasing the efficiency of heat exchangers used in heating and cooling applications. The project aims to increase the efficiency of heat exchangers, which are widely used, especially in heating and cooling applications.
For this purpose, it will contribute to energy efficiency by utilizing Al₂O₃/H₂O nanofluid flow and unique design geometry. This success, which once again proves the strength of our university in the field of research, also stands out as a valuable step towards new generation energy efficiency solutions.
Our Rector, Prof. Dr. Ahmet Hamdi Topal, stated that he was pleased with the university's development in the field of research and said, 'This project will contribute to studies on energy efficiency. I congratulate our research team and hope the project will be successful. The Rector also thanked Prof. Dr. Orhan Aydın, President of TUBITAK, and Prof. Dr. Erol Özvar, President of the Council of Higher Education, for supporting the project.
