The fourth of the 'Development of R&D Culture of Young Researchers in Techno-Entrepreneurship Vertical' program, supported by TÜBİTAK 2237- A Scientific Training Activities Support and carried out by Kastamonu University Faculty of Economics and Administrative Sciences (FEAS) Faculty Member Assoc. Kastamonu University hosted Prof. Dr. Erol Tekin between 30 October and November.
The event hosted by our University was aimed at developing the R&D culture in the field of techno-entrepreneurship, to understand how technological entrepreneurship has evolved in the light of the national technology move in the world and especially in our country, to be aware of the importance of digital transformation, and to raise awareness to encourage the trainees participating in the training to engage in entrepreneurial activities individually or through Technocities in the medium term.
The event was attended by 20 undergraduate trainees from different universities in Turkey. In addition to the trainers from Ankara University, Karadeniz Technical University, Sinop University, Çankırı Karatekin University and Hitit University, especially our University; Nevzat Erol, Provincial Director of KOSGEB Kastamonu; Hasan Bülent Eynihan, owner of the largest construction market in the Western Black Sea Region, and Muhammed Serdar Akmanoğlu, owner of Black & White Software Design company, took part in the event as speakers.
Young entrepreneur candidates from different disciplines who had the opportunity to meet with distinguished academicians in their fields were first given theoretical training on the basics of entrepreneurship, entrepreneurial psychology, Technopolis structuring, business idea development, essential marketing, market research, digital marketing, intellectual property rights, financial literacy, financial support mechanisms, and digital transformation technologies. Then, practical business model canvas preparation activities were carried out. Within the prepared business model canvases framework, the trainees presented their business ideas in front of the jury. The program ended successfully with the business idea presentations made on the event's last day.
The participants expressed their happiness in participating in an event that allows them to enter the entrepreneurship ecosystem. They thanked Kastamonu University and all the staff who contributed to this opportunity. The fifth edition of the event is planned to be held on 8 March, International Women's Day, with the theme of 'Women Entrepreneurship' hosted by our University.
