The opening ceremony of the 11th Organisational Behaviour Congress was held in Sezai Karakoç Hall of the Central Library of our University with the intense participation of academicians and students. Prof. Dr. Aysun Kanbur, the term president of the congress, emphasized the support provided by our Rector to the congress in her opening speech.
Prof. Dr. Kanbur stated that the congress has become stronger thanks to the contributions of our university to the organization and the support of TÜBİTAK. Prof. Dr. Kambur welcomed the participants, emphasized the congress's importance in sharing current developments in organizational behavior, and drew attention to the extent of information exchange in this field.
After the opening speech, the congress's opening continued with the speech of Prof. Dr. Azmi Yalçın on behalf of the Advisory Board. Prof. Dr. Yalçın emphasized the importance of the congress and current developments in organizational behavior. In his speech, Prof. Yalçın also commemorated Prof. Dr. Dursun Bingöl, who had an essential place in the academic world, and stated that the contributions of Prof. Bingöl, who passed away in 2023, will not be forgotten.
Then Deputy Governor Dr Hakan Kubalı took the floor to make his speech. Dr. Hakan Kubalı drew attention to the natural beauties of Kastamonu and talked about the city's tourism potential and cultural richness. In his remarks, Deputy Governor Kubalı stated that Kastamonu had become a center of attraction with its historical and natural beauties and that local values should be protected and promoted. The opening ended with the closing speech of Prof. Dr. Aysun Kanbur, the term president of the congress, and the presentation of thank you plaques to the participants at the end of the panel.
The Organisational Behaviour Congress continued with the panel session on the first day after the opening speeches. Prof. Dr. Mahmut Paksoy, Faculty Member of Istanbul Kültür University, Prof. Dr. Aşkın Keser, Faculty Member of Bursa Uludağ University, and Serdar İzbeli, President of Kastamonu Commodity Exchange, discussed current issues and innovative approaches to organizational behavior.
On the first day of the 11th Organisational Behaviour Congress, which will continue between 31 October - 3 November 2024, panelists provided an interactive discussion environment by answering questions from the participants and their experiences and knowledge in their fields. In the sessions held in different halls, participation certificates were given to the participants by the session chairs.
