Kastamonu University Inebolu Vocational School Lecturer. Assist. Prof. Dr. Gülşen Gündoğdu's project titled ‘Integration of Digital Health-Based Courses into the Faculty of Medicine Curriculum: Mixed Method Research’ was entitled to be supported within the scope of TÜBİTAK 1002-A Rapid Support Module.
The project aims to examine in detail how digital health technologies are integrated into the curriculum of medical faculties in Turkey.
Within the scope of the research, which aims to better equip future physicians in this field by expanding the use of digital health technologies in education, a comprehensive examination will be carried out on how many digital health courses are included in medical faculties in Turkey, how these courses are taught, and how they can be improved.
In the project, Lecturer from Kastamonu University. Assist. Prof. Dr. Gülşen Gündoğdu from Kastamonu University, as well as Dr. Lecturer from Fırat University. Prof. Dr. İrem Tanyıldızı Baydili from Fırat University, Lecturer from Kütahya Dumlupınar University. Assist. Prof. Dr. Enise Gündoğdu and Lecturer from Batman University. Assist. Eda Emül from Batman University is also working as a researcher.
Our Rector Prof. Dr. Ahmet Hamdi Topal stated that an important step will be taken in terms of the integration of health technologies into medical education. He stated that the addition of innovations in the field of digital health to the education curriculum will make a great contribution to the professional development of students. He also congratulated all academicians involved in the project and wished for the continuation of these successful studies.
