Kastamonu University contributes to the new project implemented by Hitit University in line with its internationalization goals.
The project titled ‘An Integrated Model for Strategic Excellence in Higher Education Institutions’ coordinated by Hitit University was accepted within the scope of the Erasmus+ Programme and was entitled to be supported with a budget of 250,000 Euros. The project aims to make strategic management, performance management, and result-oriented management processes more effective in the field of higher education.
The 24-month project will be realized with an international cooperation network including our University. Other partners of the project include The Technical University of Valencia from Spain, Sumy State University from Ukraine, and the Czech Association of Professional Higher Education from Czechia. The University Performance Evaluation and Action Model (UPEAM), which is to be developed within the project's scope, aims to increase the institutional capacity of global higher education institutions.
With this project, our university aims to actively participate in the internationalization process in higher education, strengthen academic collaborations, and increase the mobility of students and academic staff. The project will allow participating universities to better evaluate their performance through the development of strategic management processes.
Our Rector Prof. Dr. Ahmet Hamdi Topal emphasized the importance of the project and stated that such projects increase the competitiveness of our University on an international scale and improve its academic quality. He also noted that internationalization supports not only knowledge sharing but also interaction between different cultures.
The project will encourage the adoption of strategic management and performance-enhancing methods by developing exemplary practices for higher education institutions. Participating institutions will develop more sustainable and effective approaches to higher education through mutual exchange of experience and knowledge.
