Kastamonu University continues to expand its partnerships and scientific, social, and cultural cooperation with Europe, which aligns with its internationalization goals.
Within the scope of the 2024 Erasmus + KA131 program, the project application supporting the exchange of students and staff of higher education institutions with program countries was concluded. Our university was entitled to receive a grant of 282,780 Euros, an increase of 53% compared to 2023, and achieved great success in its internationalization goals. This grant amount ranked 49th among 207 higher education institutions that applied for the project.
Our university plans to realize approximately 130 student and staff mobility within the scope of the grant.
Our Rector, Prof. Dr Ahmet Hamdi Topal, pointed out the undeniable importance of overseas student and staff activities in achieving the targeted quality standards in the qualitative increase in education and research activities.
Stating that they aim to maximize cooperation with our partners abroad, Prof. Dr. Ahmet Hamdi Topal pointed out the importance of ensuring that more of our students and staff benefit from international experiences through the Erasmus program, increasing the institutional recognition of our University and the formation of potential cooperation partnerships.
For this reason, our Rector emphasized that we will continue our work with the awareness of increasing our potential collaborations on a global scale within the scope of our internationalization goals.
