London-based higher education rating agency QS has announced its annual ranking of universities. Kastamonu University, ranked 601+ out of 685 universities in Europe, continues to maintain its success graph by ranking 66th in Turkey. In West Asia, Kastamonu University ranks 61st among 92 universities.
In the regional ranking list of world universities prepared for 2025, QS is based on the following criteria: "citations per academic", "academic/student ratio", "appearance in international research networks", "international student ratio", "international academic ratio", "graduate employment", "activities in the field of sustainability", "reputation among employers" and "reputation among academics".
In the general evaluation, our university makes a name for itself with its contributions to science in the categories of international student ratio, number of citations per academician and article ratio per faculty.
Our Rector Prof. Dr. Ahmet Hamdi Topal, said that Kastamonu University's inclusion in such an important list as a young university is encouraging for future studies and emphasized that they are working with the awareness of producing social and economic benefits with innovative projects by improving both research and development opportunities for academics and academic, social and cultural opportunities for students.
Our Rector also stated that it is important to create a sustainable quality-oriented education understanding and system in all processes of the university in order to be successful and that they aim to adopt this understanding as a strategic goal and to show a sustainable performance in line with the strategic plan goals.
Stating that hard work is the basis of success, our Rector congratulated all academic and administrative staff who contributed to these achievements. In addition, our Rector thanked the President of the Council of Higher Education Prof. Dr. Erol Özvar and the Council of Higher Education members for their encouragement and support in increasing the quality of research results and internationalization. Our Rector also thanked Prof. Dr. Hasan Mandal, President of TÜBİTAK, for his encouraging approach to our institution in project studies.
