Our university has achieved great success by participating in the Methodologies for Teamworking in Eco-Outwards Research (METEOR) project supported by the European Union within the scope of Horizon Europe with a fund of 3 million Euros.
Our university was included in the multinational METEOR project, carried out by the "Center for Social and Economic Research" from Poland, with 13 partners from 12 countries. Our university took place in the comprehensive R&D project as one of the 2 participating institutions in our country.
In the METEOR project, which aims to improve the transversal skills of current PhD candidates and early career researchers through an innovative, collaborative and participatory training program, including summer schools, group projects and peer mentoring, Kastamonu University coordinator Prof. Dr. Selahattin Kaymakcı took part as the coordinator and Assoc—Prof. Dr. Gökhan Kaya is the researcher.
During the 3-year project, studies will be carried out in an international consortium to increase the quality of doctoral education and consultancy at our university and to carry out qualified graduate studies.
Our Rector, Prof. Dr Ahmet Hamdi Topal, congratulated our academicians for their project work and expressed his gratitude to the President of the Council of Higher Education, Prof. Dr Erol Özvar, and the members of the Council of Higher Education, for their support for science-oriented studies, achieving internationalization goals and project support. In addition, our Rector thanked Prof. Dr. Hasan Mandal, President of TÜBİTAK, for his encouraging approach to our institution in project studies.
We congratulate Prof. Dr. Selahattin Kaymakcı, one of the faculty members of the Faculty of Education of our University, who took part in the project, and Assoc. Prof. Dr. Gökhan Kaya is a researcher, and we wish them ease in their work and continued success.
