Kastamonu University has achieved a significant success by ranking in the 501-600 band among a total of 1171 universities in the world in the UK-based higher education organization Times Higher Education Young University Ranking.
Our university succeeded in being ranked for the first time among the 80 Turkish universities evaluated in the Young Universities Ranking of 2024.
In the Young Universities Ranking, 80 universities from Turkey were evaluated in ranking the world's best universities under the age of 50. THE uses research quality, teaching standards, research environment, international cooperation, and industry as the main headings in the evaluation process to compare universities comprehensively and healthily. Our Rector, Prof. Dr. Ahmet Hamdi Topal, expressed his satisfaction with these achievements and said that these achievements in the Young University Rankings show the international recognition of our university and how close it has come to high educational standards. Our Rector also emphasized that the Rector, who is goal-oriented and keeps pace with the age, is step by step approaching the goals set within the scope of strategic plan studies, education, research and development activities, and international cooperation.
Our rector stated that various projects are ongoing to increase the international impact of our university and to open its doors to more students and researchers. Kastamonu University has prioritized student and staff exchange programs and various academic cooperation projects to be carried out at home and abroad to increase cooperation in the international arena, and it has underlined that they are trying to make the name of our university known in the international arena.
He thanked the President of the Council of Higher Education, Prof. Dr. Erol Özvar, and the members of the Council of Higher Education for their encouragement and support in terms of quality standards and internationalization, which are the basis for achieving such successes.
