The 20th Akbank Short Film Festival, organized by the Media and Communication Community, occurred on April 29, 2024, at Kastamonu University Faculty of Communication Conference Hall.
In addition to our academic and administrative staff and students, many moviegoers from Kastamon attended the event.
The 20th Akbank Short Film Festival Within the scope of the Akbank Short Film Festival, which meets art lovers for the 20th time this year, "Evcil,” directed by Deniz Uymaz, won the Best Short Film Award in the National Category. Şirin Bahar Demirel's “Between Grace and Violence” won the Honorable Mention Award. The short films “A Kind of Testament” by Stephen Vuillemin, which won the Best Short Film Award in the International Category, “Eve Dönüş” by Demir Demirbag, and “İki Mavi” by Mahur Uslu, which won the Best Film Award in the Young View category, were presented to the audience.
Media and Communication Community Academic Advisor Assoc. Prof. Dr. Ersoy Soydan said that it was a great pleasure to host the 20th Akbank Short Film Festival for the 9th time as the Media and Communication Community and thanked everyone who contributed.
Akbank Short Film Festival aims to promote short films followed by a wide audience, provide screening and audience access, support new filmmakers, promote short films, and provide a platform for discussion. The festival will meet with students in 22 cities and 41 universities between April 15 and June 7, 2024. Audiences will have the opportunity to watch award-winning films for free.
