As per the findings of the scientific evaluation, TUBITAK 2209-A University Students Research Projects Support Programme 2023/2nd semester, with 195 unique projects, came in at eighth place out of 198 universities.

The Scientific and Technological Research Council of Turkey Directorate of Scientific and Technological Research Institution Scientific Human Support Programmes has released the results of its scientific evaluation of the 2209-A University Students Research Projects Support Programme for the 2023/2 term. The program encourages undergraduate and associate degree students studying at universities to conduct research through projects.
As a result of the evaluation, 195 different 2209-A projects of Kastamonu University were entitled to receive support.

At our university, 15 in Faculty of Education, 30 in Faculty of Humanities and Social Sciences, 3 in Faculty of Economics and Administrative Sciences, 11 in Faculty of Theology, 27 in Faculty of Engineering and Architecture, 22 in Faculty of Forestry, 9 in Faculty of Sports Sciences, 16 in Faculty of Health Sciences, 1 in Faculty of Tourism, 20 in Faculty of Veterinary Medicine, 4 in Faculty of Fine Arts and Design, 3 in Faculty of Science, 1 in School of Civil Aviation, 2 in Abana Sabahat-Mesut Yılmaz Vocational School, 7 at Araç̧ Rafet Vergı̇lı Vocational School, 4 at Bozkurt Vocational School, 4 at Cide Rıfat Ilgaz Vocational School, 2 at Daday Nafı̇ ve Ümı̇t Çeri̇ Vocational School, 2 at Devrekâni̇ Vocational School of Chambers and Commodity Exchanges of Turkey, Inebolu Vocational School, 2 in Tosya Vocational School, 3 in Taşköprü Vocational School, 5 in İhsangazi Vocational School and 1 in Kastamonu Vocational School, 195 projects were entitled to receive support from TÜBİTAK. Kastamonu University managed to rank 8th in Turkey in general.

The number of research-development projects of our university doubled
Our Rector, Ahmet Hamdi Topal, emphasized that our university ranked eighth among universities with 195 innovative projects in 2023/2 applications and that our success rate has doubled. He reminded us that 93 projects were accepted in the 2209-A University Students Research Projects Support Programme 2023/1 applications.

Additionally, our rector emphasized that practically all academic units have at least one project accepted, indicating that the efforts to popularize R&D and project culture are beginning to pay off.
Our Rector emphasized that this approach will significantly contribute to regional and national development. Kastamonu University aims to equip students with theoretical knowledge and the ability to produce feasible and sustainable research and development projects. He also stated that TÜBİTAK is supporting 195 projects in the second term applications of 2023. These projects have increased twofold, reflecting the success of our university's academicians and students.
