Organized in cooperation with Kastamonu University Faculty of Fine Arts and Design and the Department of Library and Documentation, "Library Week: Cartoon Exhibition" was opened on March 25, 2024, at the Fine Arts Gallery.
The "Library Week Cartoon Exhibition," organized in cooperation with the Faculty of Fine Arts and Design of our university and the Department of Library and Documentation and including 50 works special to the 60th Library Week, was presented to the appreciation of art lovers.
Academic and administrative workers and many students visited the exhibition of librarianship cartoons, which featured five nationally recognized cartoon artists.
The exhibition, which brings together caricature masters such as Necmettin Çanak, İcabi Demirci, Coşkun Göre, İhsan Toy, and Muhammed Olcay, who work independently of each other and include selected works from the field, will continue to meet with art lovers during the 60th Library Week.
Prof. Erol Yıldır, Dean of the Faculty of Fine Arts and Design, made a short speech at the exhibition, which was organized on the occasion of the 60th Library Week but took place this year due to the earthquake. He expressed his pleasure in bringing together artists with important works in the field of caricature and art lovers.
Prof. Yıldır said it was an honour to organise a cartoon exhibition for the first time and thanked all the artists who contributed.
