The "March 18 Çanakkale Victory" Mixed Exhibition of Academics organized by our university's Faculty of Fine Arts and Design was opened on March 18, 2024, at the Central Library Fine Arts Gallery.
Organized by the Faculty of Fine Arts and Design for the 109th anniversary of March 18 Martyrs' Remembrance Day and Çanakkale Naval Victory, the "18 March Çanakkale Victory Academics Mixed Exhibition", curated by Lecturer Dr. Mustafa Kartal, where 24 works of our 22 academicians in different techniques were exhibited, was presented to the appreciation of art lovers.
Our Vice-Rectors, Prof.Dr. Ömer Küçük, Prof.Dr. Mehmet Atalan, Prof.Dr. Kasım Yenigün, Dean of the Faculty of Fine Arts and Design Prof. Erol Yıldır, academic and administrative staff, as well as many students, attended the group exhibition where the works of 22 academicians, which depicted the Turkish nation's struggle for existence, were exhibited.
The exhibition, which emphasizes the importance of Çanakkale and Turkish heroism in the Çanakkale War, which is the turning point of Turkish history and where thousands of people gave their lives, and the difficulties experienced by the soldiers, will meet with art lovers until March 22, 2024.
The Dean of the Faculty of Fine Arts and Design gave a short speech at the exhibition. Erol Yıldır stated that they tried to tell the heroic epic written in the Çanakkale Wars, a turning point in Turkish history, through the eyes of artists. Wishing that the unity and solidarity seen in the Çanakkale Wars would continue today, Yıldır thanked all the academicians who contributed to the exhibition.
