Our University, which successfully carries out project-based bilateral cooperation studies with universities in different countries of the world, continues its internationalization efforts in a more comprehensive manner.
The meeting held within the framework of the Capacity Building in Higher Education program with Algeria Kasdi Merbah Ouargla and Mindanao State University of the Philippines, with which our university has bilateral cooperation within the framework of the Erasmus + program, took place on March 4, 2024 at the Rectorate Meeting Hall.
The meeting was chaired by Prof. Dr. Ömer Küçük, Vice Rector of our University, Prof. Dr. Mehmet Atalan, President of Mindanao State University Atty. Basari D. Mapupuno, Naawan Campus Rector Prof. Dr. Elnor C. Roa, Foreign Relations Coordinator Prof. Dr. Renato S. Pacaldo and Kasdi Merbah Ouargla University Foreign Relations Coordinator Prof. Dr. Mohammed Seghir Halimi and delegations of our University, Kasdi Merbah Ouargla University of Algeria and Mindanao State University of the Philippines.
Vice Rector Prof. Dr. Ömer Küçük made the opening speech of the program.
Prof. Dr. Küçük stated that Kastamonu University has achieved significant academic success both in Turkey and in the world, and that Kastamonu University, which is rapidly rising in world rankings, will take the education provided at international standards and quality one step further with the cooperation to be made. Prof. Dr. Küçük concluded his speech by thanking both Kasdi Merbah Ouargla University and Mindanao State University for their cooperation. In the first session of the meeting, Kastamonu University promotional video was broadcast.
After the opening speech, President Atty. Basari D. Mapupuno, Naawan Campus Rector Prof. Dr. Elnor C. Roa, Foreign Relations Coordinator Prof. Dr. Renato S. Pacaldo and Kasdi Merbah Ouargla University Foreign Relations Coordinator Prof. Dr. Mohammed Seghir Halimi made speeches.
In the second session held within the framework of the program, Vice Rector Prof. Dr. Küçük shared data on the academic and physical status of our University and the research and projects carried out, and informed the participants about the future plans and academic and social projects of our University.
In the meeting, the following topics were discussed: studies on developing and certifying language, entrepreneurship and digital skills in higher education, international joint publication opportunities, opportunities for joint international projects, establishing joint research groups and working groups in prominent areas, discussing academic staff and student exchanges, and opening dual diploma programs at the graduate level.
Within the framework of the program, representatives of our University and Kasdi Merbah Ouargla University and Mindanao State University held meetings in the fields of forestry, medicine, engineering and aquaculture. During the meetings, university representatives were informed about the academic studies of the faculties and possible cooperation and projects were discussed.
