Kastamonu University athletes participated in the Winter Sports Games organized by the Turkish University Sports Federation (TÜSF) in Erzurum between February 9-16, 2024 in the branches of Natural Sledge, Alpine Skiing, Nordic Skiing and Biathlon.
The athletes of our university took part among 689 athletes from 71 provinces in the Winter Sports Games organized in ice climbing, ice hockey, snow volleyball, snowboarding, curling, biathlon, alpine skiing, sledding and cross-country skiing branches.
Hatice Yağmur Önder, who competed in the Natural Sledge branch in the individual competition, won the Silver medal with her outstanding performance. In the team competitions, our men's and women's teams achieved important success by coming second in Turkey in Natural Bobsled. Our women's team competing in Biathlon also won the third place. Our students, who completed the competitions with 3 trophies in total, proudly represented our University.
Our Rector stated that they were proud of the success of our athletes, congratulated them, and wished them continued success.
