The project prepared by Prof. Dr. Saim Ateş, a faculty member of our University's Faculty of Forestry, was entitled to be supported by the Scientific and Technological Research Council of Turkey (TÜBİTAK) 1505 - University-Industry Cooperation Support Program.
The project titled "Optimization of the Mechanical Pretreatment Applied to the Chips Before Fibreboard Production in Fiberboard Production and the Use of Wastewater in the Improvement of Board Properties in Production", which was prepared in order to transfer the knowledge and technology in the university, research infrastructure, public research centers and institutes to the industry, was entitled to be supported by TÜBİTAK.
In the project, which was carried out by Faculty of Forestry Faculty Member Prof. Dr. Saim Ateş, Faculty of Forestry Faculty Faculty Members Assoc. Prof. Dr. Bahadır Çağrı Bayram, Assoc. Prof. Dr. Çağrı Olgun and Forest Industry Engineer Enüs Koç are working as researchers. The Project between Kastamonu University and Kastamonu Entegre ınd.trade.co.ltd is planned to be completed in 18 months and its budget is 1.5 million TL.
Our Rector Prof. Dr. Ahmet Hamdi Topal underlined that they aim to make a great contribution to both the regional economy and the national economy with the projects to be carried out within the framework of University-Industry cooperation. Stating that our academicians are taking firm steps towards becoming a globally recognized institution thanks to their consistent work, our Rector said that they are trying to put forward a new vision with a new understanding that prioritizes quality and functional knowledge production in all processes including education-training, research and community service.
Congratulating our academicians and students who took part in the project and the study, our Rector expressed his gratitude to the President of the Council of Higher Education Prof. Dr. Erol Özvar and the members of the Council of Higher Education for their support. Our Rector also thanked Prof. Dr. Hasan Mandal, President of TÜBİTAK, for his encouraging approach to our institution in project studies.
