Our university has achieved a significant success by having 7 projects accepted according to the project results announced for the 2023/III. period of the 2237-A Scientific Educational Activities Support Program carried out by the Scientific and Technological Research Council of Turkey (TÜBİTAK) Scientific and Technological Research Council of Turkey (BİDEB). In 2023, a total of 25 projects from our University were accepted in TÜBİTAK 2237-A.

According to the project results of the 2023/III. period of TÜBİTAK 2237-A Scientific Educational Activities Support Program, 7 projects prepared by our academicians were accepted.

Within the framework of the 2237-A Scientific Training Activities Support Program, the project titled "Analytical Method Selection, Validation/Verification, and Measurement Uncertainty Training in Scientific Studies," carried out by Assoc. Prof. Dr. Nesrin İçli, Faculty of Health Sciences, Department of Nutrition and Dietetics, was accepted. The training program to be given within the scope of the project will be held between January 31 and February 2, 2024.

In the second project approved by TUBITAK, Assoc. Prof. Dr. Esra Nurten Yer Çelik, one of the faculty members of the Faculty of Forestry, Department of Forest Engineering, will provide "Training on Biological Databases and Analysis Methods Used in Bioinformatics" between 16-18 April 2024.

Faculty of Health Sciences, Department of Nursing faculty member Assoc. Prof. Dr. Havva Kaçan's project titled "Psychological First Aid (PIY) Training for Children with Special Needs and Their Families in Disasters" was awarded the 2237-A Scientific Training Activities Support by Tübitak. The activities of the project will be held between February 7-8, 2024.

Faculty of Forestry, Department of Forest Industrial Engineering Faculty member Assoc. Prof. Dr. Osman Emre Özkan's project "Fire Disaster Training in Forests and Wooden Structures" will be held on 6-9 May 2024 with the support of TUBITAK.

The activities of the study titled "The Role of Humanitarian Aid Logistics as a Vital Dimension of the Supply Chain", which is among the projects accepted in the field of social sciences and conducted by Assoc. Prof. Dr. Erol Tekin, Faculty of Economics and Administrative Sciences, Department of International Trade and Logistics, will be held between 15-18 April 2024.

Faculty of Health Sciences, Department of Midwifery faculty member Dr. Lecturer. Prof. Dr. Nihal Aydın, a faculty member of the Department of Midwifery, Faculty of Health Sciences, is the project coordinator and the activities will take place on March 28-29, 2024. The TUBITAK 2209-A Research Projects Preparation Training Project on "Health Services in Disasters for Students in the Field of Health Sciences" was accepted.

 Finally, Faculty of Forestry, Department of Wildlife Ecology and Management faculty member  Assist. Prof. Dr. Özkan Evcin's project titled "Course on Understanding Changes in Forest Ecosystems on the Basis of Climate Change" was accepted by TÜBİTAK.

The number of TUBITAK 2237-A projects accepted by Kastamonu University in 2023 was 25.

In 2023, a total of 25 projects were accepted within the framework of TÜBİTAK 2237-A Scientific Educational Activities Support Program. Within the framework of the program, while the number of projects accepted in TUBITAK projects in the 3rd call was 7, the applications of 8 academic staff were accepted in the 2023/II call. While the projects of 6 academicians who applied to the call opened after the February 6, 2023 Earthquake were accepted, 4 of our academicians were entitled to receive support from TÜBİTAK in the 2023/I call announced at the beginning of the year.

In 2023, a total of 25 TÜBİTAK 2237-A projects were accepted, 11 from the Faculty of Forestry, 4 from the Faculty of Health Sciences, 3 from the Faculty of Economics and Administrative Sciences, 3 from the Faculty of Engineering and Architecture, 2 from the Faculty of Education, 1 from the Faculty of Science and 1 from Tosya Vocational School.

"Our project success graph will increase even more"

Our Rector Prof. Dr. Ahmet Hamdi Topal, who stated that he adopted an understanding of education that catches up with the age, underlined that this success is a reflection of the work of our academicians on current and qualified issues. In addition, our Rector stated that the trainings given within the scope of the program prepare the infrastructure of future projects and emphasized that the project success graph of our university will increase even more in the coming years.  

Our Rector thanked Prof. Dr. Hasan Mandal, President of TUBITAK, for their support and incentives for projects related to R&D, projects and qualified education studies of our country, and congratulated our academicians whose projects were accepted and wished them continued success.
