The short film titled "FER", written and directed by our university lecturer Dr. Emre Ertürk and starring Mikail Zubanov, made it to the finals in the short film category at the Egyptian-American Film Festival (EAFF) in America.
"Fer", which competed in 12 categories of international films and made it to the finals in the short film category at the Egyptian-American Film Festival in Brooklyn, New York, will represent our University and our country at the award ceremony to be held on November 3, 2023.
Okan Yılmaz was the cinematographer of the movie shot in rural Kastamonu. Samir Shahbazov was in charge of lighting and Ali Bayramov was in charge of sound management.
Lecturer Dr. Emre Ertürk, who will meet with art lovers for the second time in New York, said the following about the film festival in America: "As you know, we previously met with international audiences at the New York Film Festival with the Kastamonu sesame-free bagel documentary. Now we are presenting our short film, in which everyone can find something from their own lives, to the taste of art lovers. We realized the filming in the unique nature of Kastamonu, which we think brings us luck and success. With this pride, I and my team will work harder to make the name of Kastamonu and Kastamonu University known."
