The short film titled "FER", written and directed by Dr. Emre Ertürk, Lecturer at our University, made it to the finals at the EDO State International Film Festival (ESIFF), where international films compete in 18 categories, includinvg best script and best film, and was entitled to represent our country and Kastamonu University in the finals.
Okan Yılmaz was the cinematographer of the movie, which was shot in Kastamonu nature and tells the story of a man trying to adapt to a new life. Mikail Zubanov was the lead actor of the movie, while Samir Shahbazov was in charge of lighting and Ali Bayramov was in charge of sound management.
The only film accepted from Turkey is "FER"
Ertürk said the following about the film festival, which is the only film accepted from Turkey in the festival, which has met with art lovers twice in New York and London, and whose finale will take place in Nigeria on November 30th: "We are appearing before art lovers with our film that we completed before the documentary we shot about Kastamonu sesame-free bagel. Now we present our short movie, where everyone can find something from their own lives, to the taste of art lovers. In this way, we want to introduce the natural beauty of Kastamonu and life in Kastamonu to Africa. We strive to do things worthy of a university that has taken important steps in internationalization. We are very happy that our movie attracted attention not only from Europe but also from Africa. We aim to make the name of Kastamonu and Kastamonu University known all over the world."
