Kastamonu University has completed its preparations for the 2023-2024 academic year in line with its goal of achieving a distinguished position among universities in Turkey and the world.
The countdown has started for the start of the academic year on October 2, 2023. Classes at the Faculty of Medicine started on September 25. In total, more than 30 thousand students enrolled in 263 associate and undergraduate programs and 105 graduate programs are excited to start classes.
According to the 2023 YKS placement results, Kastamonu University managed to become one of the most preferred universities in Turkey by reaching 99.25% preference rate in undergraduate programs and 100% preference rate in associate degree programs.
Our university offers resources and opportunities such as research and application centers, Central Research Laboratory accredited by TÜRKAK, student laboratories, Technology Transfer Office and Ay Yıldız Sports and Life Center, aiming to meet the social, cultural and sports expectations of its students. These areas aim to provide our students with a comprehensive educational experience and contribute to their personal development, social interaction and career goals in addition to their academic success. Our Rector Prof. Dr. Ahmet Hamdi Topal stated that with an approach that represents the vision and mission of the university, they have adopted basic qualities such as raising students' self-confidence, adopting ethical principles, having high qualifications, acquiring scientific knowledge and skills, commitment to national and spiritual values, success in human relations, strong professional knowledge, openness to learning and research, and assuming responsibility as their primary goals.
In line with these basic values, our Rector stated that they aim to raise our students as individuals who have the qualities that will contribute to their character development and society by going beyond focusing only on their academic achievements, and conveyed that they are excited and happy to start a new academic year as Kastamonu University.
