At TEKNOFEST, which took place in Izmir on September 27-October 1, 2023, the students of the Faculty of Engineering and Architecture (MMF) were selected first among approximately 1000 applications with their initiative idea named "ARGA METAVERSE" and were awarded the best initiative award.
On October 1, 2023, at the TEKNOFEST award ceremony held in Izmir Festival area, Kastamonu University students were presented their first prizes by Mr. Mehmet Fatih Kacır, Minister of Industry and Technology, Mr. Selçuk Bayraktar, Chairman of the Board of Trustees of T3 Foundation and Mr. Murat Kurtuluş, Deputy General Manager of Roketsan.
Students of the Faculty of Engineering and Architecture of our University showed great interest in TEKNOFEST, which was organized traditionally this year. Held between September 27 and October 1, TEKNOFEST Izmir hosted space and technology enthusiasts.
Mustafa Furkan Baldemir and Duygu Batmaz, students of our university's MMF, Mustafa Furkan Baldemir and Duygu Batmaz were awarded the best initiative award with their initiative idea named "ARGA METAVERSE" in the Tourism Technologies Competition Pre-Seed category of the Take Off 2023 Pre-Event Tourism Technologies Competition, which is an international startup summit that brings together entrepreneurs, mentors and venture capitals and is the biggest meeting event organized with the support of ROKETSAN, by being elected first among approximately 1000 applications.
WeAr Team aims to make a great contribution to the cultural tourism sector with the "Augmented and Virtual Reality Supported Digital Assistant-ARGA" application that supports cultural development by encouraging cultural ruins and museum visits with digital games and virtualization for learning.
MMF Students were selected as Finalists among 2,389 teams at TEKNOFEST 2023 Istanbul
The technology team established by Kastamonu University Faculty of Engineering and Architecture students was one of the 76 finalist teams elected among 2,389 teams competing in different categories in the competitions organized within the framework of TEKNOFEST 2023 held between April 27 and May 1. Furkan Baldemir, Duygu Batmaz and Team Advisor Dr. Lecturer, WeAr Team, consisting of Furkan Baldemir, Duygu Batmaz and Team Advisor Dr. Erman Zurnacı, received the first prize at TEKNOFEST 2023 Izmir by competing with "ARGA METAVERSE" in the Take Off 2023 Tourism Technologies Category in which they participated by transforming the "Augmented and Virtual Reality Supported Digital Assistant" application, which supports cultural development by encouraging museum visits with digital games and virtualization for learning purposes, into an initiative idea.
