Kastamonu University Sports Sciences Students Sıla Ersin and Merve Azak announced the name of Kastamonu University with the medals they won.
On the first day of the Junior European Judo Championship held in The Hague, Netherlands between 07-10 September 2023, our student Merve Azak won the gold medal by defeating Italian Sofia Mazzola in the final.
Great success at the World Championship
In the Junior World Judo Championship held in Odivelas, Portugal between October 4 and October 08, 2023, Sıla Ersin, a student of the Faculty of Sports Sciences, came in second in the world. National judoka Sıla Ersin, who competed in the championship at 48 Kg, was defeated by her Japanese rival Kano Miyaki in the final and won the silver medal.
