The animal hospital established within the Faculty of Veterinary Medicine of our university started its activities in order to expand its services in the field of animal health and to provide students with the opportunity to practice. The hospital serves with its modern infrastructure equipped with state-of-the-art equipment and a staff of specialised veterinarians.
In the hospital, bovine and ovine farm animals (horses, cows, sheep, goats), poultry such as chickens and turkeys, cats and dogs can be diagnosed and treated.
In the hospital, which has four departments such as internal medicine, obstetrics, surgery and artificial insemination, biochemical and haematological analyses will be performed in the advanced central diagnostic laboratory for the diagnosis of sick animals. After the first intervention to the animals, the disease can be diagnosed with methods such as ultrasonography, radiography, echocardiography and colour doppler imaging. In addition, all examination and operation services such as pregnancy examinations, semen examinations, sterilisation, caesarean section, gynaecological and orthopaedic operations will be provided.
In addition to routine clinical services, the hospital will have a central diagnostic laboratory, ultrasonography imaging room, radiology unit, extensive animal examination and operation room, small animal emergency intervention room, small animal examination rooms, small animal operation rooms, small animal operation rooms, small animal operation preparation and anaesthesia room, small animal postoperative care room, staff and caregiver room, sterilisation room, isolation room and veterinarian rooms.
The hospital, which operates on an appointment system, aims to meet the demands of animal owners effectively and quickly. In addition, veterinary faculty students will be able to do internship at the hospital and complete their practical training. In this way, students will be able to apply their theoretical knowledge in practice, improve their professional competencies, and progress towards becoming successful veterinarians.
