The book titled “The Future of Climate – An Interdisciplinary Perspective on Climate Change”, written by the project team and trainers of the "Future of Climate: Climate of the Future", has been published.
The project, which was carried out in Daday district, was supported within the scope of TÜBİTAK 4004-Nature Education and Science Schools Support Program and was completed last August. Lecturer Berkan Güngör,one of the academicians of our University, which is a specialization university in the field of Forestry and Nature Tourism, was involved in the project. It was aimed to increase the knowledge level of young people studying in undergraduate and graduate programs by addressing the issue of climate change with various dimensions through interactive applications.
The project also aimed that the participants gain awareness of protecting nature and living in harmony with nature, developing public policies with expert trainers, participating in local, national and international environmental studies and taking an active role. Within the scope of the TÜBİTAK project "Future of Climate: Climate of the Future" held in Daday, a unique book that deals with the climate crisis with an interdisciplinary approach has been published.
The book consists of 14 chapters and was created with the contributions of 17 authors from different disciplines and institutions. The book is intended to be a reference source for researchers who want to conduct scientific studies in the field of climate change. In this way, it is aimed to bring scientific knowledge to the society, to disseminate it and to make it as accessible as possible. Lecturer Berkan Güngör from the Unit of of Forestry and Nature Tourism Specialization and our Vice Rector Prof. Dr. Omer Küçük took the responsibility as the editors of the book.
