TUBITAK continues to support projects aiming to organize scientific activities for preschool children, undergraduate students, teachers, and different segments of society through science and society support programs carried out by the Science and Society Directorate since 2007.
In the 2024 call period, essential innovations and improvements were made. These innovations include updates within the scope of the 4004 Programme, improvements in thematic call areas, and increased support.

Call Scope and Objectives
The 4004 Programme aims to provide participants with meaningful learning opportunities through active observation and practice in nature, science, and technology. Objectives include:
To support the understanding of natural processes from a scientific point of view,
To reinforce scientific thinking skills by making the participants active,
To improve their perspective on science positively.
Activities to be Supported
Among the activities to be supported within the scope of the project:
Experiments, simulations, augmented/virtual/mixed reality applications,
Interactive applications such as scientific trips, nature observations, creative drama,
STEAM activities, digital games, and educational games.
Support Amount
Support upper limit: 360.000 TL (including VAT).
Support will be provided for various items such as machinery, equipment, accommodation, food, and travel expenses.
The contribution share to be taken from the participants can be at most 250 TL.
Who Can Apply?
Persons who will apply as project coordinators:
Turkish citizen and resident in Turkey,
At least a master's degree with a thesis,
Applicants must be full-time public institutions/organizations, universities, or science centers employees.
Application Requirements and Documents
Documents required for application:
Project Proposal Form and Project Preparation Guide,
Consent for participants under 18 years of age,
Additional documents such as Ethics Committee Approval Certificate and Legal/Special Authorisation Certificate.
Application Method
Applications will only be made online. Applicants are required to register via the Researcher Information System (ARBIS) and submit their applications via bilimtoplum-pbs.tubitak.gov.tr.
Unsupported Activities
Activities based only on theoretical explanations,
Online activities and activities in preparation for competitions need to be supported.
Result Report and Monitoring
At the end of the project, a final report on the participants' scientific, social, and technical development and activities will be prepared and evaluated by TÜBİTAK.
