In the interview event organized as part of the "Sustainable Development and Education" course conducted at Kastamonu University Faculty of Education, businessman Metin Ünal from Kastamonu met with teacher candidates.
The faculty members of the Faculty of Education, Assoc. Prof. Dr. İlkay Aşkın Tekkol and Assoc. Prof. Dr. Hafife Bozdemir Yüzbaşıoğlu, coordinated the seminar that took place in Amfi-1 on May 2, 2025. Through his presentation titled "Local Production and Sustainability," the talk's guest, Metin Ünal, Chairman of the Board of Directors of Kastamonu Ünallar Industry and Agricultural Products, imparted his expertise to the audience.
The event addressed the importance of local production in development, its integration with sustainability principles, and the entrepreneurial perspective. In the interactive discussion, teacher candidates also contributed with their questions. During the interview, local products produced by the Kastamonu Ünallar Industry and Agricultural Products company, of which Metin Ünal is the Chairman of the Board, were offered to the participants.
At the end of the program, the Dean of the Faculty of Education, Prof. Dr. Ahmet Kaçar, thanked Metin Ünal for his contributions and presented him with a certificate.
