The Department of International Trade and Logistics at Kastamonu University Faculty of Economics and Administrative Sciences (IIBF) strengthened social responsibility awareness and supported its students' creative projects that touch the community with four different events held in April and May.

International Students Learned About Kastamonu Culture Through Stone Printing

As part of the social responsibility activities of the International Trade and Logistics Department, the workshop titled "Cultures Unite: Stone Printing Art Event with International Students," held on April 22, 2025, at the Kastamonu Olgunlaşma Institute, brought together students from different geographical regions with Kastamonu's cultural heritage. Fifteen students from five different countries experienced stone printing, one of Kastamonu's traditional handicrafts, practically under the guidance of the institute instructors. Participants also shared patterns belonging to their own cultures, thus facilitating intercultural interaction. At the end of the event, the students recorded videos in their own languages, inviting people living in their countries to Kastamonu and Kastamonu University, and shared them on social media. Additionally, stone print products and small souvenir gifts were presented to them. The day ended with a group photo.

They Walked Together to Overcome Obstacles

The "If We Walk Together, Every Path is Open!" slogan march organized on April 26, 2025, was planned by the students of the International Trade and Logistics Department as part of their social responsibility. Members of the Kastamonu Special Individuals and Families Solidarity Association and the Kastamonu Association for the Visually Impaired also participated in the walk, which took place on the Kastamonu University campus.At the event, symbolic obstacle stops were created to draw attention to the accessibility difficulties encountered in daily life.The awareness-raising walk concluded with a group photo shoot.

Chic with Recycling: From T-Shirt to Bag

The "Chic with Recycling Workshop: From T-Shirt to Bag" event, held on April 29, 2025, at Gazipaşa Primary School, was conducted by department student Adelina Mullaianova.Elementary school students had the opportunity to develop their manual skills while gaining awareness of recycling. Children making bags from old t-shirts learned the importance of production and being environmentally conscious while having fun. The workshop stood out as a creative example of social responsibility with a sustainability theme.

The Path to Success in Sports Was Discussed

On May 1, 2025, GMG Kastamonuspor's Technical Director Ergin Keleş met with students during a talk organized by the International Trade and Logistics Student Society. Keleş emphasized the importance of stability, patience, and planning for success while sharing his career experiences. "Success and failure are two different parts of the same road," he inspired the youth with his words. At the end of the event, a plaque of appreciation was presented to Keleş, and an invitation was made for the Play Off matches.
