The project titled “Art and Interdisciplinary Relations Education within the Framework of Pataphysics and Digital Revolution Concepts for Painting Department Students,” hosted by Kastamonu University and supported by TÜBİTAK 2237-A Scientific Education Activities Support Program, was successfully completed between 18 and 20 April 2025 at Kastamonu Teknokent building.
The project was carried out by the academic staff of the Faculty of Fine Arts and Design of our University, Res. Assist. Dr. Merve Mehtap Bulut, art was discussed as an aesthetic form of expression and an intellectual ground intertwined with digitalization and philosophical concepts.
In addition to our University, faculty members from Karabük University, Bartın University, Çankırı Karatekin University, and Medipol University contributed to the program, where a total of 11 academicians provided training. A total of 20 students, 16 from our University, two from Sinop University, and two from Afyon Kocatepe University, participated in the event.
During the three-day training, students took various courses, from modernism to postmodernism, from interdisciplinarity to pataphysics, and from metamodernism to artificial intelligence applications. In the practical part of the event, students participated in creative production processes supported by artificial intelligence and created original works.
