The Raksan Folk Dances Community of Kastamonu University participates in the Turkey Championship of Interuniversity Stylized and Artistic Folk Dances organized by the Turkish University Sports Federation (TÜSF).
In the championship to be held from April 27 to 30 in Antalya, hosted by Akdeniz University, university communities from all over Turkey will take the stage. The opening ceremony will be held on Sunday, April 27, at 20:00 in the ANFİ area of Akdeniz University. The competitions will continue at the Akdeniz University Olbia Open-Air Theatre from April 28 to 30.
The Raksan Folk Dance Community completed its preparations before the championship and crowned its work with today's last rehearsal. Our Vice Rector, Prof. Dr. Selahattin Kaymakcı, also attended the rehearsal. Prof. Dr. Kaymakcı supported the dancers in the rehearsal area, made a short speech, and wished them success. Prof. Dr. Kaymakcı, who shared the students' excitement, emphasized the importance of team spirit and effort and expressed his belief that the ensemble will represent Kastamonu University in the best way.
Our students, members of the Raksan Folk Dance Community, aim to represent our University in the best way possible. Stating that they are working hard to bring our cultural richness to the stage, the community members stated that they are working with great devotion both to keep traditional values alive and to make the name of our University known through art.
