Kastamonu University Araç Rafet Vergili Vocational School students gave the audience unforgettable moments with a special show called “Be the Voice of Silence!”, which they prepared based on the belief that “Women are Valuable”.
The April 21, 2025, event at the Araç Municipality Cultural Center began with protocol speeches. At the event, speeches highlighted the themes of women's rights and social awareness.
Following the speeches, the performance "Be the Voice of Silence!" transformed into an impressive display where our students used art as a means of expression to draw attention to the societal role and value of women. Starting with the emphasis, "We feel the power of sound in every moment of our lives; but sometimes the most meaningful messages are hidden within silence," the performance contained significant messages about the challenges women face in life, their voices that are ignored, and their pursuit of rights.
The show was attended by Araç District Governor Emrah Bayram, our Vice-Rector Prof. Dr. Mehmet Atalan, Araç Mayor Süleyman Yazkan, school manager Prof. Dr. Miraç Aydın, as well as representatives from public institutions and academics working in the district. At the end of the demonstration, all participants were thanked and expressed gratitude for their contributions to raising awareness.
The support message sent to the students by Fatma Serap Ekmekçi, a member of the Women's and Men's Equal Opportunities Commission and the Research Commission on Combating Violence Against Women in the Grand National Assembly of Turkey, was also shared at the event.
Thanks were given to District Governor Emrah Bayram, Mayor Süleyman Yazkan, Director of Araç Vocational School Prof. Dr. Miraç Aydın, and Deputy Director Assist. Prof. Dr.Gökhan Özden, who contributed at every stage of the event, for their unwavering support in bringing this special program to life.
