Within the scope of TUBITAK 2237-A Scientific Training Activities Support Programme, the project was carried out by Kastamonu University, Faculty of Communication. Assist. Dr. Halil Taştekin from Kastamonu University Faculty of Communication's scientific training event titled 'Digital Media Literacy Training for University Students' was held at the Faculty of Communication Conference Hall between 26-28 November 2024.
Within the event's scope, 60 associate and undergraduate students studying at different faculties and colleges of Kastamonu University received comprehensive training on digital media literacy. The program's main aim was to increase the participants' digital media awareness, improve their conscious media usage skills, and enable them to approach digital content from a critical perspective.
During the three-day training, all aspects of digital media literacy were discussed by academics who are experts in their fields. Within the scope of the training, in addition to theoretical knowledge, theoretical knowledge was reinforced with interactive evaluation practices.
The event ended with the presentation of certificates of participation and appreciation to the participants after the thank you speeches.
