‘Republic Day Sports Games’ and Republic Run, organized in cooperation with Kastamonu University Faculty of Sports Sciences, Department of Sports Management, and Department of Health, Culture and Sports (SKS) within the scope of 29 October Republic Day, took place with great participation and enthusiasm.
The events organized within the framework of the 101st-anniversary celebrations of the Republic were held in the Kuzeykent campus and Ayyıldız Sports and Life Centre.
The organization, which was held with the participation of approximately 300 students, witnessed competitions in different branches that highlighted the unifying power of sports. Tournaments in popular sports branches such as foot tennis, badminton, darts, 3x3 basketball, and table tennis offered both competition and entertainment together. In each branch, students displayed their talents and tried to achieve success both individually and as a team.
On the last day of the Sports Games, the Republic Run took place with great interest from our students. Organized at the Kuzeykent campus, the run was an event where the participants both tested their physical endurance and celebrated the enthusiasm of Republic Day through sports.
After the event, the Faculty of Sports Sciences and SKS officials emphasized the importance of students taking an active part in such activities.
