A third of the program titled ‘Development of R&D Culture of Young Researchers in Techno-Entrepreneurship Vertical’, supported by TÜBİTAK 2237-A Scientific Training Activities Support and carried out by Kastamonu University Faculty of Economics and Administrative Sciences (FEAS) Faculty Member Assoc. Prof. Dr. Erol Tekin was hosted by Kastamonu University between 23-26 September 2024.
A total of 20 young researchers from 12 different universities participated in the program, which aimed to develop R&D culture in the field of techno-entrepreneurship, to understand the development of technological entrepreneurship in the light of the national technology move in our country, to draw attention to the importance of digital transformation and to encourage trainees to engage in entrepreneurial activities individually or through Technologies.
In addition to our University, Sinop University, Çankırı Karatekin University, Yıldız Technical University, Düzce University, Manisa Celâl Bayar University, Adana Alparslan Türkeş Science and Technology University, Necmettin Erbakan University, Istanbul University-Cerrahpaşa, Muğla Sıtkı Koçman University and Selçuk University were among the participating universities.
In the event, 5 undergraduate students studying at the Department of International Trade and Logistics of the Faculty of Economics and Administrative Sciences of our University worked as assistant staff. At the same time, 18 academicians from our University, Turkish-German University, Bolu Abant İzzet Baysal University, Karadeniz Technical University, Düzce University and Ağrı İbrahim Çeçen University contributed as trainers.
The training provided for young entrepreneur candidates from different disciplines focused on the basics of entrepreneurship, entrepreneurial psychology, Technopolis structuring, business idea development, basic marketing, market research, digital marketing, intellectual and industrial property rights, financial literacy, financial support mechanisms, and digital transformation technologies. Following the theoretical training, practical business model canvas preparation activities were carried out and the trainees presented their business ideas to the jury. The event ended successfully with business idea presentations on the last day of the program.
The participants expressed their satisfaction with participating in such an event and thanked all the staff who contributed to the organization. In addition, the participants emphasized that they took a big step towards applying to the TÜBİTAK 1812-Investment Based Entrepreneurship Support Programme with the trademark and patent registration processes for the business ideas they developed, and also stated the importance of the sustainability of the program.
