2nd year students of the Department of Forestry Industrial Engineering of the Faculty of Forestry of our university exhibited the miniature wooden houses they designed within the scope of the Wooden Constructions course. These original works, which were produced at the Wood Culture Research and Application Center, were presented at the exhibition held at the Faculty of Forestry.

At the opening of the exhibition, Prof. Dr. Saim Ateş, Head of the Department of Forest Industry Engineering, and Assoc. Prof. Dr. Önder Tor, the course instructor, emphasized the historical and contemporary importance of wooden houses and the interest in wooden structures in recent years. The speeches noted that the interest in wooden houses in recent years will continue to increase in the coming years.

Assoc. Prof. Dr Önder Tor stated that solid wood material is generally used in the houses exhibited and that the houses' functional, aesthetic, climate and ecology-sensitive designs stand out. Drawing attention to the unique story of each miniature house, Tor gave information about the design and production processes of the houses.

Dean of the Faculty of Forestry, Prof. Dr. Erol Akkuzu, who attended the exhibition, emphasized the importance of wooden houses in sustainability and congratulated the students for their meticulous work and success.
